The 2017 Meals Menu


During the 2017 Edition, food will be served as follows:

Breakfast: 7 to 8 am
Smoothies: 10 am
Lunch: 1 to 2 pm
Smoothies: 3 pm
Dinner: 7 to 8 pm
Midnight Hot Meal: 1 to 2 am  

In between meals, the aid station will have regular "ultra snacks" type foods available for snacking

Monday, November 13th

Breakfast: Spinach Quiche (vegan and non-vegan varieties)

Lunch: Quinoa and Honey Mustard Chicken

Sweet Potato Stew (vegan)

Dinner: Chili and French bread

Spiced Tofu and Chili (vegan)

Midnight: Potato soup with and without bacon

Tuesday, November 14th


Breakfast: Breakfast Sausage Casserole (vegan and non-vegan varieties)

Lunch: BBQ Pork Sandwiches

Lentil and Rice Soup (vegan)

Dinner: Beef Stew

Split Pea Soup (vegan)

Midnight: Lentil and Black Bean Stew (vegan)

Wednesday, November 15th


Breakfast: Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole (vegan and non-vegan varieties)

Lunch: Chicken Taco Soup

Pumpkin Chili (vegan)

Dinner: Potato Salad with Asparagus (vegan)

Burgers

Midnight: Cream of Potato and Pear Soup (vegan)

Thursday, November 16th

Breakfast: French Toast Bake (vegan and non-vegan varieties)

Lunch: Chicken Biryani

Southwest Vegetarian Beans and Rice (vegan)

Dinner: Chicken and Rice Soup

Black Bean and Sweet Potato Stew (vegan)

Midnight: Chicken Tortilla Soup

Corn Chowder (vegan)

Friday, November 17th

Breakfast: Sweet Potato Breakfast Bake (vegan and non-vegan varieties)

Lunch: Beef Pot Roast

Vegetarian Chili (vegan)

Dinner: Tomato and Arugala Farfalle (vegan)

Avocado Wraps with or without Chicken

Midnight: Enchilada Soup (vegan)

Saturday, November 18th

Breakfast: Blueberry French Toast (vegan and non-vegan varieties)

Lunch: Kielbasa Stew

Squash and Apple Stew (vegan)

Dinner: Sweet and Sour Stir Fry

Fettucine Alfredo (vegan)

Midnight: Lentil and Black Bean Stew (vegan)

Sunday, November 19th

Breakfast: Greek Omelet (regular and vegan)

Meal Serving Etiquette - Race Rules

XXX. Food and drinks will be provided at the race aid station. 4 meals per day will be provided as well as regular "race food" and salt pills. Food will be diverse and customary with ultra-running events. The race will not provide/cater to athletes following special diets. The menu will be posted on this website 2 weeks prior to the start of the race. The meals for each day will be announced on a white board during that day as well as the serving time (1 hour for each meal). When the meal is served a flag will be raised at the aid station to announce the runners. When the flag is removed there will be NO meals severed until the next serving time. This will allow the volunteers to clean and prepare for the next serving as well as rest. The AID STATION is NOT a place to ask for special meals, to store food, personal items, or to hang around and talk. The Aid Station will be kept clear of athletes personal items at ALL TIMES!
